New DPSCD Websites Are Now Easier, Faster and More Accessible

We’re excited to announce that Detroit Public Schools Community District has launched brand-new websites. The redesigned sites were built on the Finalsite platform and replace our previous system, which had reached the end of its service life. These new websites offer a faster, more intuitive online experience for families, students, staff, and the community.

What’s better and what to expect

• Easier to navigate: Clear menus and a consistent layout across the district make it simple to find calendars, school news, enrollment information, and classroom resources.

• Mobile-friendly & modern: The new designs work seamlessly on phones and tablets so you can access key information wherever you are.

• Accessibility built in: The updated sites include accessibility tools and workflows to help meet ADA standards—such as improved support for screen readers, alt text, captions, and accessibility checking within the editor. Our partnership with Finalsite also brings automated tools to assist visitors with diverse needs.

We’ll keep improving the sites
